Literary and artistic conference under the name of Yalda Night Chakameh on the occasion of celebrating Yalda Night, the longest night of the year; Compiled by Parwan Writers Association and Charikar Municipality
This literary and artistic conference is organized by Shokrallah Shams, public awareness and press expert of Charikar Municipality and a member of Parwan Writers Association in Charikar Municipality Conference Hall; It was held with the enthusiastic presence of the leadership of Parwan province, writers, cultural figures and a number of young people, including girls and boys, which began with the recitation of divine verses.
First, Professor Abdul Wahed Ail Shabrooz, head of the Parwan Writers’ Association, spoke about the history of celebrating Yalda night and said: “In the past, Yalda night was celebrated by reading books on Shahnameh, Masnavi, poems and stories around the chairs.” Mr. Shabrooz thanked the Parwan Local Government, Charikar Municipality, members of the Parwan Writers’ Association and the Parwan Department of Information and Culture for their unwavering support and cooperation in holding this literary and artistic conference.
Then, Lt. Gen. Fazluddin Ayar, Governor of Parwan, in a speech, said that the purpose of celebrating this night was the cohesion of writers and strengthening unity among the people, calling scientists, writers and cultural figures the assets of human societies. The Governor of Parwan continued his speech by calling on the youth and people of Parwan to pave the way for sustainable development, economic, cultural and social development with their unity.
In the continuation of this conference, Professor Abdul Qahir Arianjad Azhir, Professor Vahidullah Nosrat, Lady Masoumeh Ahmadi, Dr. Mir Azam Shah Amin, Farhad Farman, Fayez Farandish, Sana Al-Haq Sotoudeh, Reza Moradi, Mrs. Vahideh Shahkar, Jamshid Sattari, Zia Al-Haq Badr, Mrs. Safieh Sarvari, Elham Ghafouri, Bano Lida Ahmadi, Mohammad Omar Bayani, Elham Ghafouri, Rezvan Nusrat, Noman Nusrat, Ata-ur-Rehman Sadeghiar and Gholam Haidar Heydari each recited their appropriate poems. The band also added to the warmth of the event by performing patriotic songs and romantic lyric poems.
At the end of the conference, Khajeh Ruhollah Siddiqui, the mayor of Charikar, summed up the contents of this literary and cultural conference and expressed his gratitude for the presence of the provincial leadership, writers and cultural figures of Parwan. Mr. Sedighi considered the holding of such programs fruitful in order to create unity among the people and emphasized on its more and better organization. He also thanked Shokrallah Shams, a public awareness and press expert of Charikar Municipality, and the Charikar Municipality Urban Governance Team, as well as the Parwan Writers’ Association, for organizing this conference.
